How to Record an Async Video Handoff for a Small Team

For an async video handoff, show what changed, name what is still open, and say who should check it next. Record the update in the shared MomentLog Team Project so the next teammate can review it and add a follow-up on their shift.

Record the part that is hard to describe in chat

Suppose two people are setting up a booth on different shifts. “The sign is ready” leaves the next person guessing which side is finished. Point the camera at the sign, show the loose corner and say which repair you already tried. The next person can watch when their shift begins.

Use a three-line handoff template

“Done: the left bracket is holding. Open: the right one slips when the door swings shut. Next: Mia, try the shorter screw before we print the sign.” Name the object, the open question and the person taking the next step. If you need an immediate answer, use the channel your team already checks for urgent requests.

Keep the next update next to the first

With access to the same MomentLog Team Project, select it before recording the handoff. A teammate can open its timeline, review the first entry, then record a new entry in that project showing the result. Say the same object name in both clips so the next shift knows what they refer to. Use your usual task list for assignments and deadlines. See shared project plans.
